Great fish and chips! Up there with the best in NL. Pleasant staff and good prices - worth the trip!

Excellent fish and chips. Very fresh fish and a very light batter. The view is great and the place is clean and seems to be recently renovated. Had great friendly service. It was worth the drive for the food and the scenery!

I heard about this place from a group who goes there regularly. It's a quick half hour drive from St. John's NL. There's a good amount of parking and it is clearly a favorite of the locals and those who are on their way to Bell Island. If you arrive early you can grab a table on the deck and have a great view of the water and the island. They have a good selections of drinks to choose from. The fish and chips are obviously phenomenal. They are tasty and high quality. The only way to improve would be for them to start making their own tartar sauce. Otherwise this is worth the short journey out of town. Don't sleep on this great local restaurant!

Be aware: this place takes cash only, but there’s an ATM in the restaurant.This place is a must for any time we have family visiting in town. Some of the best fish and chips on the Avalon Peninsula. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The building is comfortable for the crowd that shows up in slow season, when there’s no tourists. The patio is available for extra seating in the tourist season when a summer’s day allows for enjoying the breeze coming off the bay. The few times we’ve had to wait for seating, it’s never taken very long.The view is amazing, and on a hot summer’s day last year there were kids jumping off the dock into the water. Sometimes there are fishermen cleaning their catch on the wharf. It’s a nice small-town community feel as you see folks launching their boats or pulling them up on the trailer, heading out into the bay for the food fishery, and see people hauling their catch onto the docks.

We we're very pleased with the fish and chips very highly recommend anyone to stop for a good meal.

The best!! Fish is so fresh, batter nice and light chips are great. I recommend the house made coleslaw. The owner is so sweet and gracious. The view is next level. It was recommended to me as the best fish and chip place in NFLD and it did not disappoint 😍😍

Excellent spot for fish and chips. We had the two piece with fries dressing and gravy and was very happy. The staff was very relaxed and helpful, and the price point was cheap for the quality of the food. As you would expect from a place right on the ocean the view was wonderful (even if it was the middle of winter).

The staff are friendly, the place serves beer, the fish is amazing, and all this comes with an amazing view. Warning, they are cash only but there is a bank machine if your wallet is a little light.

I'm not a huge fan of fish and chips in general, but I've taken it upon my self to try as many fish and chips places around St. John's as possible to see if I can find one that I like. This is by FAR the best I've had. The fries are okay, but the fish is incredible. The batter is so crispy and almost has the texture of a cheese puff. The fish is incredibly tender and soft, almost closer to the texture of soul than cod, but it is indeed cod. And the location is beautiful.Only complaint is that this is one of the more greasy fish and chips dishes I've had. Also worth noting that they only take cash, but have an ATM.

Two times in a row I have got sick eating fish and chips. Worms was visible to my boss which was sitting across from me.and the second time was the following year after. When I got back to work my boss said to me, Craig , you look pale and I said I will be back in a minute. So I have to get sick and I did. Thanks to the fish and chips a year after. They probably don't have good sanitation facilities. I don't know but I don't think I will be back there any more.

We always make it a point to eat here when we visit every summer from Ontario. I absolutely love their fish and chips! Filling and tastey and nicely priced. I highly recommend eating here as it IS that good. Very scenic environment as well. But with this being said, my last visit here was a little disappointing. I understand that this is a popular place and that the weekend I last visited was very very busy... but the seating arrangements here are awful. The girl behind the counter was kicking people out of tables who clearly needed to sit down. My son was starving and crying and we were second in line and we still were asked to leave the table as we had not ordered yet. My husband was next in line to order. Made us feel awful.

My mom had the two piece fish and chips and it was amazing (battered, not panko). Not being much of a fish person myself, even I tasted her meal and was delighted. I went with chicken fingers, they were huge and real chunks of chicken! I would maybe suggest that they make their own tartar sauce in the future.Cash only.

The food and service were spectacular. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and couldn't get better food. And the new onion rings are very light flaky not salty yum yum

Beautiful spot. What an amazing restaurant, the fish n chips here are perfection. Not greasy, lightly battered and full of flavour. You can order 1 to 3 pieces and let me tell you the 3 piece is an incredible amount of food. The fries here are also amazing. What a place. It is cash only.

This is a cash only business. When you arrive you should be prepared for amazing views an fabulous fish and chips. The fries, gravy and dressing in a favorite add on. The coleslaw is amazing. The fish batter recipe created the lightest and crispiest fish. Delicious. Take a stroll along the pier after dinner and chat up the local anglers.

Family had a feed of fish n chips. Some good!! One of the best spots on the island.

What a great location. Wonderful view of Conception bay. Come during a storm for an all around view without getting wet. Food almost as good as we prepare at home. Large portions. And the staff have always been friendly. Thank you.
